Where We Stayed in Portugal

Our trip to Portugal was a short one, we only managed Porto and Lisbon deciding to give the Algarve a miss on this trip…

Vila Flor Parque Municiple De Campismo, Nice campsite with electric (you will need the euro adapter) good as a stop over, be care full with the satnav as new roadwork’s and junctions everywhere makes it difficult to find, we asked a local police man who was sympathetic to our problem finding this site and gave us a police escort to the site, very helpful indeed. Parque Municiple De Campismo

Jacinto The campsite Municipal De Campismo S.Jacinto is just south of Porto and open all year. €13 a night for van and 2 adults including electric and Wifi, mostly caravans that seemed to be there all year round we where the only ones on the site for that night but it was a nice relaxing break from the mad Portuguese driving that day and we needed to get some washing done, You will need a 2 pin euro converter plug for the electric. If you carry on past the campsite as far as the road takes you (about 1 mile) there is a free Aires facing the sea, popular with the Portuguese but it is only a park with no facilities.
